SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Regina A. "Gina" Helfer of Deerfield, who passed away at the age of 62; and

WHEREAS, Regina Helfer was an inspirational English as a Second Language teacher for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Regina Helfer was the cherished and devoted wife of Harvey Helfer; the loving and proud mother of Cliff Helfer; the devoted daughter of Helen (late Felix) Highfill; the affectionate sister of Joseph Highfill, Theresa Highfill, John (Lynn) Highfill, Peter (Maureen) Highfill, Ann (Tim) Filip, Theodore (Kim) Highfill, and Cecilia Bruce (late Michael); the kind sister-in-law of Joel (Evie) Helfer and Gail Helfer; and the caring aunt of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Regina A. "Gina" Helfer, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Regina Helfer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
