SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Goldie M. Withrow of McHenry, who passed away on November 15, 2016, at the age of 75; and

WHEREAS, Goldie Withrow was born in Banco, West Virginia to Joseph and Polly (Mayhone) Freeman in 1941; she married Sonny Withrow in 1957 and they resided in McHenry for over 50 years; and

WHEREAS, Goldie Withrow worked at Baxter in the plastics division; later, she worked as the radiology receptionist at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital; for the last 20 years, she was employed as the bookkeeper for Water Works in Johnsburg; and

WHEREAS, Goldie Withrow was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church in Lakemoor; she loved to travel, cook, and enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens with her husband; and

WHEREAS, Goldie Withrow was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Polly Kuecker; her sisters, Pauline, Margie, Betty, and Dotty; and her brothers, Joseph, Sammy, Curtis, Billy, and Donald; and

WHEREAS, Goldie Withrow is survived by her husband of 59 years, Sonny; her children, Larry (Cathy) Withrow, Pat (David) Ours, Danny (Lory) Withrow, and Brian (Cherie) Withrow; her grandchildren, Amanda, Eliot "Lil Bit", Aaron, Joey, and Michael; her sisters, Edna (George) Garbacz, Patsy Buchner, and Lucy (Larry) Mauch; her brother, Herman (Barbara) Freeman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Goldie M. Withrow, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Goldie Withrow as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
