SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rocco Peter Dawson of Harvard, who passed
4away on November 26, 2016 at the age of 81; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rocco Dawson was born in Highland Park to Joseph
6Edward and Marie G. (Petite) Dawson on October 30, 1935; he
7married Margaret E. Hirons in Arlington Heights on November 26,
81964; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Rocco Dawson served in the United States Army; he
10worked as an Operating Engineer for the Local 150 until his
11retirement; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rocco Dawson was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
13Church and the Knights of Columbus; he enjoyed spending time
14with his family and friends; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Rocco Dawson was preceded in death by one son,
16Mark Dawson; and two brothers, Joseph and Kenneth Dawson; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rocco Dawson is survived by his wife of 52 years,
18Margaret; his children, Peter (Karen) Dawson, Paul (Paula)
19Dawson, and Theresa Dawson; his daughter-in-law, Tina Dawson
20(Brian) Scott; his seven grandchildren, Luke Dawson, Devon

1Dawson, Grace Dawson, Tate Dawson, Kailey Haron, Phoebe Haron,
2and Ashten Umphenour; and his brother, Frank Dawson; therefore,
3be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Rocco Peter Dawson,
7and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and
8all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Rocco Dawson as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
