SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Albert M. Aubry of Moline, who passed away on November 15, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Albert Aubry was born in Moline to John and Helen Ashley Aubry on June 23, 1921; he served in the United States Navy during World War II and married Suzanne Leemans at Sacred Heart Church in Moline on August 9, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Albert Aubry served his apprenticeship at Rock Island Arsenal and then worked 10 years for Herman Nelson/American Air Filter; he retired in 1984 from John Deere Harvester after 28 years; he later became a tour guide at Harvester for 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Albert Aubry was a member of Sacred Heart Church, where he served as an usher for many years; he was the past chief ranger of Catholic Order of Foresters Sacred Heart Court 1691, the past commander of American Legion Post 246 in Moline, where he was a member, and past Chairman of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Chapter 23; he was a member of the Ex-Servicemans Club, VFW Velie Post 2153 in Moline, and the Friends Circle Club; he enjoyed rolle bolle, gardening, and woodworking, especially building birdhouses; and

WHEREAS, Albert Aubry was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Frank, and Joseph; and

WHEREAS, Albert Aubry is survived by his wife, Sue; his children, Monroe Aubry, Charlotte (Marvin) Sueverkruebbe, Bonnie (Jim) Horton, Daniel (Kim) Aubry, William (Mary) Aubry, Rita (David) Ostrom, and Marcia (Jim) Riggins; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Costello; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Albert M. Aubry, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Albert Aubry as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
