SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Francis "Frank" Deppe of Saddlebrook Farms, who passed away on November 2, 2016 at the age of 93; and

WHEREAS, Francis Deppe served with the United States Marine Corps from 1942 to 1945, serving for a time at Pearl Harbor; and

WHEREAS, Francis Deppe was a member of St. Mary of Vernon Seniors Club; he enjoyed playing poker with his friends and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; and

WHEREAS, Francis Deppe is survived by his wife of 73 years, Frances "Fran" (Riley); his children, Mary D. (Fred) Hershberger, Riesa L. Deppe, and John (CeeCee) Deppe; his grandchildren, Kelly (Doug) Gray, Kerrie Sullivan, Jason (Rhonda) Fitzgerald, Tiffany Hoerning, Brian (Michelle) Sutter, Shannon (Michael) Dooley, Ryan (Whitney) Deppe, and Dawn (Scott) Berdka; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Francis "Frank" Deppe, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Francis Deppe as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
