SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas J. Murray of McHenry, who passed away on October 16, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Murray was born on July 19, 1945 in Chicago; his parents were Thomas and Catherine Murray; he married the love of his life, Anita, on October 6, 1973 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Murray served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Murray was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Murray was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Margaret Murrin; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Murray is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Anita; his sons, Thomas M. and Ryan J. Murray; and his sister, Catherine Souza; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas J. Murray; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Murray as an expression of our sympathy.
