SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard E. Taylor Jr. of Woodstock, who passed away on September 14, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. was born in Chicago to Richard E. and Wanda (Korytowski) Taylor on November 26, 1945; he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Woodstock; he was a member of VFW Post 5040 in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. enjoyed fishing and was a Chicago Cubs fan; and

WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathy; and his brother, Robert; and

WHEREAS, Richard Taylor Jr. is survived by the love of his life, Gloria Peetz; his brother, James (Mary) Taylor; his sons, Richard III, and Robert; his daughters, Shelly, and Sherry; his stepdaughter, Rachel; his grandchildren, Stephen, Stephanie, Melody, Emily, Jennifer, Richard IV, Sarah, Ryan, Jenny, Nicholas, Tristan, Maddi, and Araya; his great-grandchild, Eleanor; his former wife, Phyllis; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Richard E. Taylor Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Taylor Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
