SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret Frankel May of Waukegan, who passed away on October 21, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Margaret May was born on July 22, 1927 in Chicago; her parents were Hugo and Catherine Frankel; she married Charles M. May on September 8, 1951; and

WHEREAS, Margaret May was an employee of the Chicago Title and Trust Company; and

WHEREAS, Margaret May was a member of St. Anastasia Church; she was a volunteer at St. Anastasia Church and School and Carmel High School; she was also president of the Waukegan Junior Women's League and a member of Glen Flora Country Club; and

WHEREAS, Margaret May was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; her sister, Loretta Marren; her brother, Hugo; an infant sister; her brother-in-law, John Duff; and her son-in-law, Wesley Ley; and

WHEREAS, Margaret May is survived by her children, David (Anne), Richard, Maureen (Paul Pennington), Kenneth (Vivian), Virginia (Kirk) Dignum, Mary (David) Johnson, Elizabeth (Joseph) White, Joseph (Diane), Catherine (Robert) Fenger, Anthony, Ellen Ley, Michael (Lisa), John (Lisa), Charles (Ellen), and Steven (Jennifer Beltrame); her sister, Catherine Duff; her brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Frankel, William (Anita) Frankel, Lawrence (Mary) Frankel, and Howard Frankel; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Margaret Frankel May; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret May as an expression of our sympathy.
