SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara "Barb" Monti, of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of West Dundee, who passed away on September 5, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Monti was born in Elgin to Darrell and Dorothy West on December 7, 1961; she married Lewis Monti in 2010; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Monti was retired from marketing for several major corporations; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Monti was a proud United States Navy active-duty veteran; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Monti is survived by her husband, Lewis; her son, Matt Carter; her daughter, Michelle Carter; her stepdaughters, Jennifer (Shane) Wolters, and Rebekah (Bobby) Wyatt; her sisters, Pat (Jay) Jimboy, Pam (Chandler) Swan, Cathy (Marty) Yanell, Nancy (Hank) Carpenter, Mary (Jeff) Garber, and Susan (John) Johnson; her brother, Greg (Tina) West; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends; and her beloved puppy, Halligan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Barbara "Barb" Monti, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barbara Monti as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
