SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Genevieve S. Blackowicz of North Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Blackowicz was born in Waukegan to Joseph and Natalie (Orlowski) Rajuniec on July 14, 1924; she married Leo Blackowicz in North Chicago on July 19, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Blackowicz was affectionately known as "Ma" to everyone and loved by all who knew her; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Blackowicz was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of over 50 years, Leo; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Blackowicz is survived by her sons, Robert (Patricia) Blackowicz, David Blackowicz (Pam Ingram), and Michael Blackowicz Sr.; her grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Amanda, Sam, and Michael Jr.; and numerous great-grandchildren, including Ethan, Ella, and Andon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Genevieve S. Blackowicz, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Genevieve Blackowicz as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
