SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Verna Darlene Schuette, who passed away on August 30, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Verna Schuette was born on April 21, 1942 in Juneau, Wisconsin; her parents were Gaylord Hallie LeMoine and Verna Lorraine Long; she married John Henry Schuette on March 28, 1964 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, Verna Schuette and her husband relocated to McHenry in 1970 and resided in Johnsburg; she was an elementary school teacher for the McHenry and Johnsburg school districts for over three decades; she was also a hair dresser and a dedicated Sunday school teacher and missionary; and

WHEREAS, Verna Schuette was preceded in death by her father, Gaylord LeMoine, and her brother, Richard LeMoine; and

WHEREAS, Verna Schuette is survived by her husband, John; her children, Jackie (Alan) Martin, Kathy (Joseph) Smart, Stephen (Nicole) Schuette, and Daniel Schuette; her grandchildren, Danielle (William) Barber, Chloe Smart, Lincoln Smart, Vincent Smart, Josephine Schuette, and Caleb Schuette; her mother, Lorraine Long; her brothers, Lyle (Ella Mae) LeMoine, Ronnie (Linda) LeMoine, and Gene (Judy) LeMoine; three aunts; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Verna Darlene Schuette; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Verna Schuette as an expression of our sympathy.
