SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Stephen Anthony Rossi of Harvard, who passed away on August 23, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Rossi was born on September 6, 1942 in Chicago; his parents were Steven and Mary Rossi; he married Marilyn L. Reynolds on September 13, 1975 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Rossi served in the United States Navy from August 24, 1961 to August of 1967; he was aboard the USS Oak Hill during an atomic bomb detonation test; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Rossi worked in the Grounds and Maintenance Department for Harvard School District #50; he also worked at the Glenview Naval Air Station; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Rossi was a member of the Moose Lodge in Harvard; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Rossi is survived by his spouse, Marilyn; his children, Jeff (Dorothy) Rossi, Ronald (Sara) Nuccio, and Vincent (Jennifer Jackson) Rossi; five grandchildren; his brothers, Donald Rossi and Robert Villerase; and his sister, Diane Delmedico; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Stephen Anthony Rossi; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Stephen Rossi as an expression of our sympathy.
