| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of DeWayne E. Spielman of Lake in the Hills, | 4 | | who passed away on July 28, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, DeWayne Spielman was born on June 6, 1938 in River | 6 | | Grove; his parents were Wilbur and Evelyn Spielman; he married | 7 | | Rosemarie Milano on May 12, 1962; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, DeWayne Spielman enlisted in the United States | 9 | | Navy after high school; after marrying, he and his wife made | 10 | | their home in Chicago and later Algonquin; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, DeWayne Spielman worked as a meat cutter for many | 12 | | years; he was a district manager for National T Foods and later | 13 | | Hi-Neighbor Foods; he was instrumental in assisting Sweet Baby | 14 | | Ray's BBQ in becoming a national name and a barbecue sauce in | 15 | | stores throughout the country; prior to his retirement, he was | 16 | | the buyer for Super Low Foods in Elmwood Park; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, After retiring in 2011, DeWayne Spielman and his | 18 | | wife moved to Lake in the Hills, where he worked as a starter | 19 | | and ranger for the Golf Club of Illinois in Algonquin; and | 20 | | WHEREAS, DeWayne Spielman enjoyed golf, bowling, the |

| 1 | | Chicago Cubs, trips to Las Vegas and the Wisconsin Dells, and | 2 | | spending time with his family; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, DeWayne Spielman was preceded in death by his | 4 | | parents; three brothers; and four sisters; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, DeWayne Spielman is survived by his wife of 54 | 6 | | years, Rosemarie; his children, Gregg (Laura) Spielman, Scott | 7 | | (Karen) Spielman, and Nadine (Alan) Stark; his grandchildren, | 8 | | Elizabeth, Kathryn, John, and Jennifer; his brothers, Donald | 9 | | (Barbara) Spielman, Ronald (Sandy) Spielman, and James | 10 | | (Barbara) Spielman; his sister, Beverly Osiol; and many nieces | 11 | | and nephews; therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of DeWayne E. Spielman; | 15 | | and be it further
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 17 | | presented to the family of DeWayne Spielman as an expression of | 18 | | our sympathy.
