SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Theresa L. Dowe of Waukegan, who passed away on July 20, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Dowe was born in Waukegan to Richard and Minna Drinka on January 2, 1958; she graduated from Waukegan Township High School; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Dowe worked for the Waukegan News Sun for 25 years; she had a second career at Edward Jones, where she spent 17 years as a branch office administrator; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Dowe was a talented craft artist and an enthusiastic gardener; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Dowe was preceded in death by her father, Richard Drinka, and her brother, Thomas Drink; and

WHEREAS, Theresa Dowe is survived by her husband, Kevin; her son, Kevin; her mother, Minna; and her siblings, Tim (Kathy) Drinka, Richard Drinka, and Cindy (Maurice) Nixon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Theresa L. Dowe, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Theresa Dowe as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
