SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carol A. Foli-Ralph of Kincaid, who passed away on August 8, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Carol Foli-Ralph was born on July 3, 1947 in Taylorville; her parents were Richard and Margaret Foli; she married Steve Ralph in November of 2007 at St. Rita Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Carol Foli-Ralph graduated from Kincaid High School and later attended college; and

WHEREAS, Carol Foli-Ralph was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Kincaid, where she served as bookkeeper under Father Charles Dalby and was a member of the St. Rita Alter and Rosary Society; she later retired from the State of Illinois Comptroller's Office after 32 years of service in accounting; and

WHEREAS, Carol Foli-Ralph enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends; she was a Democrat and a member of the Christian County Board, where she served as the South Fork Township Clerk and as a trustee; and

WHEREAS, Carol Foli-Ralph was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Richard and Vernon Foli; her sisters, Margaret Banno and Leila Balke; and her niece, Holli; and

WHEREAS, Carol Foli-Ralph is survived by her husband, Steve; her daughter, Shellie (Dan) Gordon; her granddaughter, Emma; her brother, Denny (Kathleen) Foli; her stepdaughters, Jill (Jay) Sensmeier, Kelly (Tom) Dhom, and Robin (Adam) Pletcher; her stepsons, Eric (Lisa) Ralph, Jay (Stephanie) Ralph, and Adam (Molly) Ralph; 16 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Carol A. Foli-Ralph; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carol Foli-Ralph as an expression of our sympathy.
