SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of George W. Houston of Hebron, who passed away on July 23, 2016; and

WHEREAS, George Houston was born on February 7, 1932 in Travis County, Texas; his parents were Ananias and Viola Houston; he married Mary Susan Schmitt on January 26, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada; and

WHEREAS, George Houston was an active and valued member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hebron; and

WHEREAS, George Houston was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee; and

WHEREAS, George Houston is survived by his wife, Mary Susan; his daughters, Denise, Leslie, Lauren, and Lonnie; his grandchildren, William, Garrett, Precious, Jessica, Marty, Johnathan, Tony, Jackson, and Jordan; and four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of George W. Houston; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Houston as an expression of our sympathy.
