SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marilyn N. Zierer, who passed away on June 18, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Zierer was born on February 5, 1942 in Elgin; her parents were Henry and Amanda Deackman; she married Karl Zierer on October 5, 1962 at the Hanover Church in Streamwood; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Zierer assisted her husband in the operation of their dairy farms in the Hampshire and Huntley areas; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Zierer was a former member of St. John United Church of Christ in Harmony; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Zierer was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Carol Deackman; and

WHEREAS, Marilyn Zierer is survived by her husband, Karl; her son, Henry Zierer; her brother, Heinrich Deackman; her niece, Lori (Scott) Douglas; and her nephew, John (Deb) Deackman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Marilyn N. Zierer; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marilyn Zierer as an expression of our sympathy.
