SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Genevieve Frances Michel of Woodstock, who passed away on July 2, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Michel was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Anthony Lowe and Mary Kemp on July 3, 1946; she lived in Wonder Lake until moving to the Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock 13 years ago; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Michel worked in Quality Control for the Prem Magnetics in Johnsburg; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Michel was involved with St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hartland through its ministry with Valley Hi Nursing Home; she enjoyed gardening, collecting Angels, and playing BINGO; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Michel was preceded in death by her parents and by her son, David Evans; and

WHEREAS, Genevieve Michel is survived by her daughter, Justine (Shaun) Baker; her son, Bruce Michel; her grandson, Maxwell Baker; her sister, Christine (Scott) Gordon; her brother, William Lowe; many nieces and nephews; and her family at Valley Hi Nursing Home; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Genevieve Frances Michel, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Genevieve Michel as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
