SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Nicholas A. Camacaris of Beach Park, who
4passed away on May 31, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nicholas Camacaris was born in Waukegan to Anthony
6and Helen (Conopeotis) Camacaris on September 20, 1934 and was
7a lifelong area resident; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Nicholas Camacaris retired from Trammell Crow at
9McGaw Park in Waukegan at the age of 74 after over 40 years of
10service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Nicholas Camacaris was a member of St. Demetrios
12Greek Orthodox Church, where he served as parish council
13President from 1978 to 1979 and from 2007 to 2008, and on the
14board for many years; he was a member of the Homer Dahringer
15American Legion Post #281; he was an avid fisherman and had a
16love for reading; he enjoyed spending time with his family and
17grandchildren and having coffee with his good friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Nicholas Camacaris was preceded in death by his
19parents; his nephew, Alex Petropoulos; and his brother-in-law,
20Nick Petropoulos; and

1    WHEREAS, Nicholas Camacaris is survived by his wife of 51
2years, Sandra (Redmond) Camacaris; his daughters, Ellen (Tim)
3Mauer, Julie Camacaris, and Susan (Michael) Muntean; his
4grandchildren, Kate and Nick Mauer; his brother, William
5(Sharon) Camacaris; his sisters, Tess Petropoulos and Theodora
6(Nick) Xenos; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore,
7be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Nicholas A. Camacaris, and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Nicholas Camacaris as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
