SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Valerie Hoff Hagedorn of Des Plaines, who passed away on May 7, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Valerie Hagedorn was born in Chicago on July 17, 1922; and

WHEREAS, Valerie Hagedorn was a longtime member of the Des Plaines Senior Center; and

WHEREAS, Valerie Hagedorn was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine, and her brother-in-law, Stanely Neal; and

WHEREAS, Valerie Hagedorn was the beloved mother of Richard W. Hagedorn (Linda Segal) and Cheryl L. Hagedorn; the proud grandmother of Christy (Brock) Frederick, Jackie (Jeffrey) Hopper, Richard C. (Caroline) Hagedorn, and Amber E. Cook; the great-grandmother of Natalie Hopper, Grant, Kate, and Julianne Frederick. and Gianna Cook; and the loving aunt of Sandra Hensley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Valerie Hagedorn, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Valerie Hagedorn as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
