SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Luther Leroy Wages of Moline, who passed
4away on May 17, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Luther Wages was born on December 11, 1934, in
6Iowa City, Iowa; his parents were Oscar R. and Edith Cline
7Wages; he married Roselee Morrow on July 12, 1958 in Mystic,
8Iowa; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Luther Wages was a veteran, having proudly served
10as a paratrooper in the United States Army; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Luther Wages worked as a maintenance welder and
12machinist for Farmall; he also worked as an over-the-road truck
13driver for many years until his retirement in 1985; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Luther Wages was very passionate about supporting
15his family in stock car racing and motocross; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Luther Wages was preceded in death by his parents;
17three sisters; and three brothers; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Luther Wages is survived by his wife, Roselee
19Wages; his children, Rick (Amber) Wages, Randy Wages, Rhonda

1(Bob) Nees, and Roberta Lynn (Mark) Franklin; his
2grandchildren, Autumn (Jeff) Stone, Troy (Abbey) Wages,
3Jessica (Jake) Caudill, Emily and Jered Franklin, and Brennan
4Wages; his great-grandchildren, Cory, Winter, Taylor, Jack,
5Lila, Finn, Dominick, and Zy'aierra; and his sister, Alfreda
6Dover; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Luther Leroy Wages;
10and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Luther Wages as an expression of our
13sympathy.
