SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Roger H. Sass, Sr. of Woodstock, who passed away on April 12, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Roger Sass, Sr. was born on September 4, 1943 in Chicago; his parents were Louis and Katherine Sass; he married Darlene R. Bean on October 25, 1969 in Marengo; and

WHEREAS, Roger Sass, Sr. was a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau and the Marengo Snowgoers; he was an agricultural farmer; and

WHEREAS, Roger Sass, Sr. enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Roger Sass, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Darlene; his brother, Louis Sass; and his special friend, Linda Beu; and

WHEREAS, Roger Sass, Sr. is survived by his children, Roger Sass, Jr., Renee Sass, and Michelle (Peter) Davies; his grandchildren, Peter Davies, Jr. and Benjamin Davies; and his sister, Hazel Schultz; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Roger H. Sass, Sr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Roger Sass, Sr. as an expression of our sympathy.
