| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James J. Wasicak of McHenry, who passed | 4 | | away on April 8, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Wasicak was born on April 12, 1931 in | 6 | | Chicago; his parents were Michael and Mary Wasicak; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, James Wasicak was a United States Marine and | 8 | | served in Guam during the Korean War; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, James Wasicak was a bricklayer early in his life | 10 | | and built several houses on the South Side of Chicago; he later | 11 | | took a job with the Chicago Water and Sewer Department, where | 12 | | he worked for 33 years until his retirement in 1973 at the age | 13 | | of 65; and | 14 | | WHEREAS, Following his retirement, James Wasicak became | 15 | | active in the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and helped | 16 | | his local property owners with improvement projects; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, James Wasicak enjoyed going out and meeting his | 18 | | friends at his favorite local establishments; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, James Wasicak was preceded in death by his wife, |

| 1 | | Sylvia; his parents; and his sisters, Mary Rach, Ann Babiacz, | 2 | | and Dolores Haydek; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, James Wasicak is survived by his sons, James | 4 | | Wasicak, Tom Wasicak, Robert (Pam) Wasicak, and Tony (Candy) | 5 | | Wasicak; his grandchildren, Kyle, Joe, Terry, Clayton, Sage, | 6 | | Jennifer, Brian, Holly, and Anthony; and his sister, Helen | 7 | | Thomas; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 10 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of James J. Wasicak; and | 11 | | be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of James Wasicak as an expression of | 14 | | our sympathy.
