SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lawrence J. Sweet of East Moline, who passed away on April 12, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Sweet was born on June 7, 1944 in Moline; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Sweet was a United States Air Force veteran, having served from 1965 to 1971; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Sweet worked as a computer programmer for John Deere for many years; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Sweet was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shirley Duncan; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Sweet is survived by his daughter, Laurie (Michael) Weese; his grandchildren, Jack, Addison, and Norah Weese; his brothers, Dave and Robert Sweet; and his sisters, Donna Scoville and Judy Long; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Lawrence J. Sweet; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lawrence Sweet as an expression of our sympathy.
