SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James N. Vaughn of East Moline, who passed away on April 13, 2016; and

WHEREAS, James Vaughn was born in Mill Grove, Missouri to Waldo "Joe" and Violet Smith Vaughn on November 10, 1934; he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and married Anna Gramling in East Moline on May 21, 1955; and

WHEREAS, James Vaughn retired from Illinois Bell as a technician; and

WHEREAS, James Vaughn was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; his son, Michael; and his grandson, Jason; and

WHEREAS, James Vaughn is survived by his children, Terri (LeeRoy) Arnold, Debbie Johnson, and Janice Vaughn; his grandchildren, Shawn (Tanika) Arnold, Jamie (Julie) Arnold, Chris (Andrea) Arnold, Joe (Angie) Johnson, and Rob (Kimmy) Johnson; his great-grandchildren, Aaron, Kaylee, Kayli, Trenton, Evayla, Travon, Alanis, CJ, Anthony, Zachary, Haylie (Tim), Hope, Jazmin, and Evin; and his great-great-grandson, Mason; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James N. Vaughn, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Vaughn as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
