SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Gwen L. Radovich of Woodstock, who passed away on March 17, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Gwen Radovich was born in Chicago to E.B. and Anne (Nelson) Otis on February 23, 1935; and

WHEREAS, Gwen Radovich was a server at Martinetti's restaurant and the Turnberry Country Club; she was also a bus driver for the Special Education District of McHenery County for 13 years; and

WHEREAS, Gwen Radovich was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake; she was an avid horse lover and devoted Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks fan; she loved rural living with her brothers and family as neighbors her entire life; her true joy was the time she spent with her eight grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Gwen Radovich was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Marvin; her brother, Duane Otis; and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Gwen Radovich is survived by her children, Bradley, Brian (Jean), Amy (Robert) Tegel, and Linnette Koepke; her grandchildren, Alexander, Thomas, Matthew, Jenny, Andrew, Erik, Brian, and Emily; her great-grandson, Adam Marvin Glover; her brothers, James (Elaine) Otis and Robert (Elaine) Otis; her sister-in-law, Rita Otis; her daughter-in-law, Ellen Radovich; her five nieces; and her two nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Gwen L. Radovich, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gwen Radovich as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
