SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Fred G. Utroska of Geneva, who passed away on March 15, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Fred Utroska was born in Clinton, Iowa to Fred and Cecil Utroska on October 18, 1924; he served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific aboard the USS Ingraham DD-694; and

WHEREAS, Fred Utroska was employed in various fields, retiring from the Elmhurst Chicago Stone Company after 25 years of service; he served as an Alderman of the 5th Ward in St. Charles and contributed to the community; and

WHEREAS, Fred Utroska was a member of the St. Charles Veterans of Foreign Wars and the St. Charles American Legion; and

WHEREAS, Fred Utroska was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Beverly; and

WHEREAS, Fred Utroska is survived by his son, Jeff (Dana) Utroska; his grandchildren, Christopher (Rachael Liberman) Utroska and Patrick (Emily) Utroska; his two great-grandchildren, Ollie and Parker Utroska; his special friend, Joyce Nelson; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Fred G. Utroska, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fred Utroska as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
