SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Clancy, who passed away on February 27, 2016; and

WHEREAS, John Clancy served in the United States Navy during World War II; and

WHEREAS, John Clancy was a 65-year member, instructor, and officer of Sprinkler Fitters Labor Union 281; and

WHEREAS, John Clancy was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; and

WHEREAS, John Clancy is the devoted father of Kevin (Mary Patt), Kerry (Karen), and Kim (Kevin) Collins; the cherished grandfather of 13; and the proud great-grandfather of 8; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Clancy, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Clancy as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
