SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ethel V. Cajthaml of Johnsburg, who passed away on February 12, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Ethel Cajthaml was born on July 1, 1919 in Chicago; her parents were Anton and Bessie (nee Hruby) Nykl; she married Albert A. Cajthaml on August 1, 1940 in Chicago; she and her husband moved to Johnsburg in 1952, setting up residence on the Fox River; and

WHEREAS, Ethel Cajthaml was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children; she also loved fishing and animals; she was very creative and a talented artist and enjoyed helping out at school when her children were young; she also loved doing ceramics and spending time with her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Ethel Cajthaml was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Anton R. Cajthaml; her brothers, Chester and Clarence Nykl; her parents; and her grandparents, Frank and Anna Hruby; and

WHEREAS, Ethel Cajthaml is survived by her sons, Albert (Vikki) Cajthaml and Mike (Debbie) Cajthaml; her grandchildren, Brandon (Tiffany) Cajthaml, Shannon (Jeff), Mike (Ashley) Cajthaml, Jr., Tony Cajthaml, and Alexandria Cajthaml; her great-grandchildren, Colin and Chole Cajthaml, Olivia and Nolan Glab, and Cameron Cajthaml; and her daughter-in-law, Michaelene Cajthaml; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Ethel V. Cajthaml; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ethel Cajthaml as an expression of our sympathy.
