SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Mitchell Biscomb of Crystal Lake, who passed away on February 10, 2016; and

WHEREAS, William Biscomb was born on February 19, 1941 in Ishpeming, Michigan; his parents were Harry and Lois (nee Mitchell) Biscomb; and

WHEREAS, William Biscomb graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration in 1963; and

WHEREAS, William Biscomb worked for the Social Security Administration from 1968 until his retirement in 2004; he served as the branch manager of the Woodstock Social Security office for the last 31 years of his career; and

WHEREAS, William Biscomb was a member of the Woodstock Rotary Club, where he served as President from 1990-1991; in 1992, he was named Rotarian of the Year; he was a past President of the Church Council for St. Paul's UCC Church; he also served as a board member for the Illinois Agency on Aging and as President of the Board for the Four Colonies Condominiums; and

WHEREAS, William Biscomb is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Anderson, and his parents; and

WHEREAS, William Biscomb is survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Wyse) Biscomb; his daughters, Kelly (Lance) Burmeister and Renee Christianson; his grandsons, Dane and Kyle Burmeister; and his brother-in-law, John Anderson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of William Mitchell Biscomb; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Biscomb as an expression of our sympathy.
