SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William Mitchell Biscomb of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on February 10, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Biscomb was born on February 19, 1941 in
6Ishpeming, Michigan; his parents were Harry and Lois (nee
7Mitchell) Biscomb; and
 
8    WHEREAS, William Biscomb graduated from Northern Michigan
9University with a degree in Business Administration in 1963;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, William Biscomb worked for the Social Security
12Administration from 1968 until his retirement in 2004; he
13served as the branch manager of the Woodstock Social Security
14office for the last 31 years of his career; and
 
15    WHEREAS, William Biscomb was a member of the Woodstock
16Rotary Club, where he served as President from 1990-1991; in
171992, he was named Rotarian of the Year; he was a past
18President of the Church Council for St. Paul's UCC Church; he
19also served as a board member for the Illinois Agency on Aging
20and as President of the Board for the Four Colonies
21Condominiums; and

1    WHEREAS, William Biscomb is preceded in death by his
2sister, Mary Ann Anderson, and his parents; and
 
3    WHEREAS, William Biscomb is survived by his wife, Barbara
4(nee Wyse) Biscomb; his daughters, Kelly (Lance) Burmeister and
5Renee Christianson; his grandsons, Dane and Kyle Burmeister;
6and his brother-in-law, John Anderson; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of William Mitchell
10Biscomb; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of William Biscomb as an expression of
13our sympathy.
