SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Larry R. Bohn of Woodstock, who passed
4away on November 21, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Bohn was born on October 29, 1940 in
6Woodstock; his parents were Ernest A. and Betty G. (nee Grobe)
7Bohn; he married Deanna K. Rahn on February 20, 1968; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Larry Bohn was a 1958 graduate of Woodstock High
9School; he graduated from Carthage College in 1962 with a
10degree in business; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Larry Bohn served in the United States Army as an
12Administrator in Anchorage, Alaska from 1963 to 1964; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Larry Bohn was a life member of Grace Lutheran
14Church and served as an Usher, a Deacon, and as President of
15the Sunday school; he taught Sunday school as well; he served
16on many Woodstock City boards, including the Library Board and
17the Site Plan Review Board; he was a dedicated Rotary member
18since 1978 and had a 36-year perfect attendance record; he
19served as President in 2002 and was a Paul Harris Fellow; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Larry Bohn was co-owner of Bohn's on the Square

1and Bohn's Ace Hardware from 1964 until his passing; he
2thoroughly enjoyed working at the store and spending time with
3his family at their cottage on the lake; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Larry Bohn was preceded in death by his parents;
5his infant son; and his brothers, Kenneth Bohn and Ernest E.
6Bohn; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Larry Bohn is survived by his wife, Deanna; his
8sons, Leon (Jennifer) Bohn and Seth (Caitlin) Bohn; his
9grandchildren, Tristan Bohn, Melia Bohn, and Jonnie-Rose Bohn;
10his brother, Harold (Jill) Bohn; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Bohn
11Hodges and Maggie Bohn; and his many nieces and nephews;
12therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
15family and friends, mourn the passing of Larry R. Bohn; and be
16it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Larry Bohn as an expression of our
19sympathy.
