SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph W. Stetkus, Jr. of Harvard, who passed away on February 13, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. was born on August 3, 1931 in Schiller Park; his parents were Joseph W. and Mary (nee Skobel) Stetkus, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. served in the United States Army during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. worked as a coffee roaster at Superior Tea and Coffee until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. was a member of the Moose Lodge in Harvard and the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Shirley and Jean; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Stetkus, Jr. is survived by his children, Michael (Christine) Stetkus, Sr., Arlene Wlodarek, and Kathy Imboden; his grandchildren, Michael, Jr. and Melissa Stetkus, Jessica and April Imboden, and Matthew Wlodarek; his stepdaughter, Debra Giles; and his siblings, Elaine (Vic) Iwanski, Edward (Sonia) Stetkus, and Kenny Stetkus; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph W. Stetkus, Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Stetkus, Jr. as an expression of our sympathy.
