SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Jane Bartlow of Johnsburg, who passed away on December 24, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jane Bartlow was born on August 22, 1944 in McHenry; her parents were Lewis and Dorothy (nee Hausheer) Pitzen; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jane Bartlow was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Church, where she worked as a parish secretary for many years; she was a member of the BVM's and the Cemetery Committee; she also loved to sing and was a former member of the choir at St. John the Baptist Church and the Sweet Adelines; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jane Bartlow was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Mary Jane Bartlow is survived by her daughter, Suzann (William) O'Brien; her granddaughters, Kaleigh and Madalyne O'Brien; and her siblings, Lewis (Val) Pitzen and Susan Pitzen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Mary Jane Bartlow; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Jane Bartlow as an expression of our sympathy.
