SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas W. Keck of Collinsville, who passed away on January 14, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Keck was born on September 10, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri; his parents were Thomas W. Keck Sr. and Dorothy (nee Genetti) Keck; he married Catherine "Kay" Self on June 3, 1967 in East St. Louis; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Keck was a United States Navy veteran who proudly served his country with honor; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Keck retired from Ameren Illinois as a lineman in 2006 after 40 years of dedicated service; he was also a proud member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 309 in Collinsville; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Keck loved nature and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed working on his property; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Keck was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Keck is survived by his devoted wife, Kay Keck; his children, Michael Keck and Tina (Terry) Williams; his grandchildren, Lauren Keck, Lindsey Keck, Alexis Williams, and Avery Williams; and his many extended family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas W. Keck; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Keck as an expression of our sympathy.
