SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edward William "Captain Bill" Bredemeier of Northbrook, who passed away on December 15, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Edward Bredemeier was born in Chicago on October 12, 1927 to Hans and Alice Bredemeier; and

WHEREAS, Edward Bredemeier was a proud member of the United States Navy after World War II, for more than 60 years; he was known by all as the Captain of his own ship, the Shangri-La; and

WHEREAS, Edward Bredemeier was the loyal brother to the late Verona Nelson; the faithful husband to the late Patti; the devoted father to his 3 sons, Bill, Jr. (Barbara), Bob (Gail), and Tom (Ruth); and the loving grandpa to 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Edward William "Captain Bill" Bredemeier, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward Bredemeier as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
