SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alice Pucin of North Chicago, who passed
4away on November 6, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alice Pucin was born in Phoenix, Arizona on
6November 23, 1918 to Alice Krueger and James S. Jackson; she
7graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1936 and
8attended Lake Forest College; she married Michael J. "Jack"
9Pucin; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Alice Pucin was employed at Chicago Hardware and
11Foundry from before World War II to shortly after; she also
12worked for U.S. Steel in North Chicago as a secretary; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Alice Pucin was an avid gardener; she enjoyed
14sewing, painting, and traveling the United States and Canada;
15she was a member of the Chicago Art Institute, the Council on
16Foreign Relations, and Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago;
17she was a former member of the North Chicago Library Board; she
18pursued her love of Chicago and divided her time between a
19condo in Chicago and her family home at 15th and Park in North
20Chicago; she was a loyal Chicago Bears and Bulls fan; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Alice Pucin was preceded in death by her husband,

1Jack; her parents; and her brothers, James Jackson and Carleton
2Jackson; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Alice Pucin is survived by her children, Kitty
4(Stein) Andreassen and Ardith Pucin (Bill Losch); her
5granddaughters, Kristine, Stephanie, and Caroline; her
6great-granddaughter, Nora; her nieces, JoyceAnn, Susan, and
7Sara; her nephews, David and Donald; and her dear friend, Nancy
8Baltus; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Alice Pucin, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
12friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Alice Pucin as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
