SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Orpha L. Krapf of Springfield, who passed away on January 2, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Orpha Krapf was born on June 29, 1920 in Joliet; her parents were William and Edith (nee Vance) Ruthenbeck; she married Floyd Krapf in 1941; and

WHEREAS, Orpha Krapf retired from Horace Mann after many years of service; and

WHEREAS, Orpha Krapf was very involved with ministries at church and community social services; she also loved spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Orpha Krapf was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents; her daughter, Lynne Krapf; and her sister, Naomi Goist; and

WHEREAS, Orpha Krapf is survived by her children, William (Kathleen) Krapf, Judi Keller, Peg Booker, and Laurel Patkes; her grandchildren: Kimberly (Chris), Kelly, Kyle, Steve (Mandy), Michelle (Terry), Dawn, and Melissa (Peter); her several great-grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley Condon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Orpha L. Krapf; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Orpha Krapf as an expression of our sympathy.
