SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Darren "Scott" Cooper of Lincoln, who
4passed away on August 14, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was born on July 7, 1965 in
6Lincoln; his parents were Robert S. Cooper and Eva Jane Beaver
7Ott; he married Lesley C. Wilson on June 1, 1991 in Lincoln;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was retired from the 183
10Fighter Wing Air National Guard, where he served with pride for
11over 20 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was a retired parole
13supervisor for the State of Illinois; he also most recently
14served as the Mayor of Lincoln; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was a member of the Elks
16Club; he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, watching
17Cardinals baseball, and spending time with his family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper was preceded in death by his
19brother, Mark Ott; and

1    WHEREAS, Darren "Scott" Cooper is survived by his wife,
2Lesley; a daughter, Tori (Josh) Schacht; his father, Robert S.
3(Mary Ann) Cooper; his mother, Eva Jane Ott; his stepparents,
4Cecil and Myra Ott; a brother, Keith Ott; a sister, Brenda
5Tibbs; and 2 grandchildren, Makinley and Payton; therefore, be
6it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Darren "Scott" Cooper;
10and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Darren "Scott" Cooper as an
13expression of our sympathy.
