SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Lou Gleason of Springfield, who passed away on November 10, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Gleason was born on October 22, 1941 in Springfield; her parents were Aubrey and Lula Mae McCubbin Cleaver; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Gleason lived in the Springfield area throughout her life; she was employed with the Secretary of State for more than 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Gleason enjoyed Bingo and visiting casinos; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Gleason was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Thorton Ryder; her husbands, Harry Rowland and Fred Gleason; her brothers, William and Frank Cleaver; and her sister, Betty Hughes; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Gleason is survived by her children, Gary Rowland, Cindy (Tom) Fitzgerald, Allan (Christina) Gleason, Rick (Teri) Gleason, and Micheal Gleason; her grandchildren, Regan and Keifer Fitzgerald and Heather, Andrew, Samantha, Adam, and Tristan Gleason; her brothers, Joe (Rosalie) Cleaver, John Cleaver, and Richard (Jeanie) Cleaver; her sister, Virginia Hartwig; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Mary Lou Gleason; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Lou Gleason as an expression of our sympathy.
