SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leonie M. Barrett of Johnsburg, who
4passed away on November 8, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Leonie Barrett was born in Waukegan on November
612, 1953 to Richard and Esther (nee May) Schneider; she married
7George Barrett on September 9, 1979 in Woodstock; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Leonie Barrett worked at Centegra
9Hospital-McHenry (NIMC) for 38 years in the Surgical Out
10Patient Unit; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Leonie Barrett was a faithful parishioner of St.
12John the Baptist Catholic Church; she enjoyed vacationing in
13Mexico with her husband and boating on the Fox River; she loved
14reading and swimming in her pool with her granddaughters; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Leonie Barrett was preceded in death by her
16parents and her sister, Mary Therese Johnson; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Leonie Barrett is survived by her husband of 36
18years, George; her son, George R. (Nicole) Barrett; her 2
19grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brianna; her 3 sisters, Bernadette
20(Bud) Messel, Celine (Leon) Haydam, and Pauline (Buck) Wolff;

1her brother-in-law, Richard Johnson; her 8 nieces; and her 5
2nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Leonie M. Barrett, and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Leonie Barrett as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
