SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert C. Stock of Marengo, who passed away on November 1, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Robert Stock was born in Belvidere on October 19, 1928 to Raymond A. and Myrtle (nee Hance) Stock; he married Arlette L. Johnson on July 2, 1949 in Genoa; he served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Robert Stock retired from the Illinois Tollway after 30 years of service; he was a former volunteer fireman with the Marengo Fire Department for 11 years; and

WHEREAS, Robert Stock was a member of Zion Lutheran Church; and

WHEREAS, Robert Stock was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Arlette; his son, Kurt Stock; his brother, William; and his daughter-in-law, Diana Stock; and

WHEREAS, Robert Stock is survived by his 2 sons, Michael (Judy) Stock and Stuart Stock; his 4 grandchildren, Kristin (Jeremy) Becker, Jennifer (Jason) Batty, Robert (Michele) Stock, and Joseph Stock; his 4 great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Natalie Becker and Alexa and Chase Stock; his 2 sisters-in-law, Darlene (Harry) Bolz and Anita Johnson; his 2 nephews; and his 2 nieces; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert C. Stock, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Stock as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
