SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gregory Thomas "Greg" Mularz of Crystal
4Lake; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Greg Mularz graduated from Crystal Lake South High
6School in 1996, where he was a proud Gator, playing varsity
7hockey and football; he received his Bachelor of Arts from the
8University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he was a
9member of Illinois' Men's Club Ice Hockey Team; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Greg Mularz served in the United States Army with
11the 172nd Infantry, 1-2 BTN "Black Scarves", stationed in
12Grafenwohr, Germany; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Greg Mularz traded in his military career for a
14medical career, earning an Master of Social Work from Southern
15Illinois University's School of Social Work; as a proud veteran
16affairs specialist, he was able to lend a helping hand to his
17fellow vets, before serving as a drug and alcohol counselor at
18Rosecrance in Rockford; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Greg Mularz enjoyed long-distance running,
20authentic Mexican food, and The Grateful Dead; and

1    WHEREAS, Greg Mularz is survived by his parents, Thomas and
2Beth; his brothers, Michael and Thomas (Elizabeth); his
3sisters, Amelia and Marina; his nephews, William, Miles, and
4Mason; his grandparents, Stanley and Mary Jo; and many friends;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Gregory Thomas "Greg" Mularz, and extend our sincere
9condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
10him; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Greg Mularz as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
