SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ada M. Lif of Lockport, who passed away on November 1, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Ada Lif was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church and a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School and Lockport Township High School's Class of 1939; and

WHEREAS, Ada Lif was a partner with her husband, Roland, at the RC Lif Construction Company; and

WHEREAS, Ada Lif was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helena (nee Ehrfeld) Dollinger; her husband, Roland C. Lif, whom she married on December 6, 1941; and her siblings, Nina (the late Russell) Anderson and Lillian (the late William) Laue; and

WHEREAS, Ada Lif is survived by her children, Donna Likar and Ron (Robin) Lif; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Huls; her grandchildren, Dianna (Thomas) Skoczek, Dale (Christina) Likar, Dawn (Scott) Hoffman, Emily Lif, and Natalie Lif; her great-grandchildren, Alexandra Skoczek, Thomas Skoczek, Hailey Likar, and David Likar; her many nieces and nephews; and her beloved companion, Mickey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Ada M. Lif; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ada Lif as an expression of our sympathy.
