SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert Bruce McGuire of Carrollton, who passed away on October 19, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Robert McGuire was born on August 31, 1941 in Calhoun; his parents were Frank and Freda Weaver McGuire; he married Linda Richter on May 2, 1964 in Carrollton; and

WHEREAS, Robert McGuire was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Carrollton and frequently attended Hope Lutheran Church in Jerseyville; he was a true patriot and loved his country with all of his heart; and

WHEREAS, Robert McGuire was preceded in death by his parents; his sister; and his 4 brothers; and

WHEREAS, Robert McGuire is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Kris McGuire and Robin Meyer (companion, Lamar Stapleton); his grandchildren, Colt and Skyler Meyer; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert Bruce McGuire; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert McGuire as an expression of our sympathy.
