SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael A. "Arnie" Juricic, Sr., who passed away on October 29, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. was born in Joliet and was a lifelong resident; his parents were Michael and Anna (nee Gurka) Juricic; and

WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. was a graduate of Joliet Township High School's Class of 1949; and

WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; he was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal and earned a marksman medal during his tenure; and

WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. retired from Commonwealth Edison in 1992 as a crew leader after 43 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. enjoyed hunting, snow skiing, boating, and restoring vintage cars; and

WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan (nee Ramuta) Juricic; his daughter, Kimmy Juricic; his sisters, Dolores Lusin and Sylvia Cushing; and his brother, Eugene; and

WHEREAS, Michael Juricic, Sr. is survived by his children, Kerry (Tim) Ruth, Kristy (Pete) Pluth, and Mike (Jyme) Juricic, Jr.; his grandchildren, T.J. Ruth, Claire Pluth, and Tres Juricic; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael A. "Arnie" Juricic, Sr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Juricic, Sr. as an expression of our sympathy.
