SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of George Robert Kwapniewski of McHenry, who passed away on October 4, 2015; and

WHEREAS, George Kwapniewski was born on March 11, 1952 in Chicago; his parents were Richard and Lillian (nee Glegf) Kwapniewski; he married Janet K. Parsons on May 28, 1972 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Des Plaines; he was a resident of McHenry for the past 30 years; and

WHEREAS, George Kwapniewski served as a member of the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, George Kwapniewski was employed in the auto body field for 20 years and worked at the Foley and Patrick auto dealerships; he later became a truck driver and worked for Arrow Trucking and TC Trucking; and

WHEREAS, George Kwapniewski enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing in Minnesota, and camping; and

WHEREAS, George Kwapniewski was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Larucci; and

WHEREAS, George Kwapniewski is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janet; his children, Chad Kwapniewski, Dana (Brad) Schwarz, and Aaron (Jen) Kwapniewski; his grandchildren, Hailey, Bradley, Jr., Olivia, Lilly, Emily, and Aaron; his sister, Kris (Harry) Peters; and his brother, John (Jeannie) Kwapniewski; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of George Robert Kwapniewski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Kwapniewski as an expression of our sympathy.
