SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charlotte P. "Char" Tovar of Spring Grove, who passed away on September 26, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Char Tovar was born in Bamberg, Germany on August 12, 1948; and

WHEREAS, Char Tovar was employed at Jewel-Osco in Spring Grove and worked in the meat department; she was fondly called the "Candy Lady" and loved offering her services to those that visited her; and

WHEREAS, Char Tovar enjoyed going to Lake Geneva and looking at the water; she loved taking care of her family, watching old movies, listening to 40's music, and playing games on her Kindle; she was very proud of her new car; and

WHEREAS, Char Tovar was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Char Tovar is survived by her children, Gina (Paul) Huber, Teresa (Joseph) Buscemi, Michael Tovar, and Kayleigh Tovar; her 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Mia, Jacob, Giani, Anthony, and Max; and her life companion, Mike Steusloff; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charlotte P. "Char" Tovar, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Char Tovar as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
