SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Megan E. Sheppard of Auburn, who passed away on August 18, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Megan Sheppard was born on October 11, 1994 in Springfield; her parents were Scott and Tracy Gudgel Sheppard; and

WHEREAS, Megan Sheppard enjoyed spending time with her family; her presence touched the lives of all she met; and

WHEREAS, Megan Sheppard was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willard "Ozzie" and Nancy Sheppard; her cousin, Carmeron Sheppard; her uncle, Jeff Sheppard; and her great-aunt and great-uncle, Eugene and Doris Colvin; and

WHEREAS, Megan Sheppard is survived by her parents; her brothers, Joshua (Megan) Sheppard and Jacob Sheppard; her grandparents, Butch and Connie Gudgel; her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her special cousin, Hannah Gudgel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Megan E. Sheppard; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Megan Sheppard as an expression of our sympathy.
