HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan D. Burris of Lisle, who passed away on May 21, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Petty Officer Burris was temporarily assigned to the Crisis Response Element of Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula, Special Operations Command Central, United States Central Central Command; and

WHEREAS, Petty Officer Burris was celebrated as a witty, hard-working, kind-hearted, and ambitious sailor; and

WHEREAS, Petty Officer Burris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Derdzinski and Edward and Alice Burris; and

WHEREAS, Petty Officer Burris was the loving son of Karen and Daniel; the protective brother of Tamara (Brett) Rotelli and Audrey; the proud and devoted uncle of Giuliana and Nello Rotelli; the grandson of Eleanor Derdzinski; the godson of Eileen (Scott) Newman and Jack (Annette) Leonard; and the nephew, cousin, and friend to many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Petty Officer 2nd Class Ryan D. Burris, and extends our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Petty Officer Burris as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
