HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Madison School in Hinsdale on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of its founding; and

WHEREAS, Madison School opened its doors on September 9, 1925 with 200 children and 8 teachers; and

WHEREAS, As part of the anniversary celebration, former officials and students were invited back to share their memories and a time capsule, sealed in 1998, was opened; it was refilled with new mementos and resealed, to be opened once again on a future date; and

WHEREAS, Madison School's current principal is Melinda McMahon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Madison School in Hinsdale on its 90th anniversary and we wish them many more successful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That as suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Madison School as an expression of our esteem and respect.
